Anthony DeFranco’s clients view him as a financial coach – using his professional expertise to deliver the practical advice and personal encouragement they need to pursue a financial future. Anthony’s extensive background and Master’s degree in taxation are invaluable for helping the firm’s clients assess the tax ramifications of various financial strategies. He has built a highly regarded specialty in all phases of tax preparation, planning, and estates and trusts, for clients ranging from individuals and families to closely held corporations and nonprofits. Anthony also has extensive experience in the design and implementation of corporate compensation, fringe benefit and retirement plans.  

Anthony is a past president of both the South Orange Chapter of Rotary International and Orange/West Orange Unico National. He also served as the Treasurer of the South Orange Chamber of Commerce and Trustee of the Orange/West Orange Unico Foundation. In 1999, Anthony was named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International for his ongoing personal and financial support of the organization’s mission.  

When taking a break from working with clients, Anthony enjoys skiing and spending time as an outdoor enthusiast with his family at their lake house.

Nelson is an active board member of the Newark Regional Business Partnership organization working to strengthen and promote Newark’s business infrastructure, past president of the Ironbound Business Association, past board member of various local business organizations and past member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) financial planning committee. 

In 1998, Nelson was named to NJBIZ magazine’s “40 Under 40,” which annually recognizes outstanding young business professionals across New Jersey, and over the years, he has been quoted in various industry trade publications. When not helping his clients achieve their goals, Nelson enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid runner.
